The upcoming transfer window will be one of the busiest for Manchester United in recent years, as the Red Devils need reinforcements if they are to compete on equal terms with Manchester City in the Premier League. That is why Erik ten Hag has set his sights on Ecuadorian midfielder Moisés Caicedo.
Erik ten Hag is convinced that the 21-year-old Ecuadorian will be one of the best players in the world in his position in the coming years, and everything seems to indicate that he has made him one of his top priorities for the transfer market.
However, it will not be easy to convince Brighton & Hove Albion to sell the Ecuadorian gem, and it has been reported that they are asking around 75 million euros to part with Caicedo and let him go to another team. Manchester United, who still do not know how much money they will have to spend on transfers, would be willing to bid for him in the hope of bringing him to Old Trafford.
Manchester United are currently paying some of the highest salaries in the Premier League, one of them being Casemiro who earns €18 million a year. For his part, Caicedo earns around 1.5 million, so the Red Devils could easily triple that amount and offer him a multi-year contract.
