Erik Ten Hag still has in mind to strengthen the team, as he considers that the club still has areas in which with a couple more players, they could be stronger and that would help in the overall performance of the team; so now with the sale of some players, Manchester United has a little more budget that will allow them to negotiate in a good way.

The Dutch coach is looking to cover two more positions with defensive focus, the first would be the midfield, as we already know one of the first and practically the only option would be the Moroccan Sofyan Amrabat, which has already been in talks for his recruitment, likewise Fiorentina, current club of the player, decided not to include the midfielder in their preseason, as it is known that it is only a matter of time for the move to become a reality.

The second position that Ten Hag would be looking for would be merely in the defensive part, after the imminent departure of Harry Maguire to West Ham, the club will have to replace the player, so the 30 million pounds they would receive in exchange, could serve to bring a defender with the skills and qualities that the coach has always looked for in his reinforcements.

One of the objectives he has to reinforce the defence is the Frenchman Benjamin Pavard, who is currently at Bayern Munich, however, has reported during these weeks that he will not renew with the Bavarian club, so he is looking for an immediate departure to new horizons and one of his preferred destinations would be Old Trafford

Pavard's value

After being world champion with the France national team during the Russia 2018 World Cup, the defender enjoyed a lot of attention and several prospects to sign him, but he would end up choosing Bayern Munich, however, after four seasons in Germany, he would be looking for a new team, so Manchester United would begin to be interested in him; after several conversations with the player and presenting an offer which was rejected, the red devils would be convinced of wanting to sign the Frenchman, so in a second proposal they will have to pay between €30-35 million to get the footballer definitively.
