Manchester United players are all enjoying life at the moment after a turbulent start of the season where they lost the first two games against Brighton and Brentford. However, the team has managed to turn things around and they all have looked very solid ever since that 4-0 defeat against the Bees.

One of the main reasons for that is Lisandro Martinez and Casemiro’s influence on the team according to Jadon Sancho. Their aggressiveness and sacrifice on the pitch have been spread to every single one of the players and that is helping them play better and get the results that the manager wants in the last couple of weeks.

Erik ten Hag didn’t believe this young player had the level to play at the club
From being benched by Harry Maguire, to being Manchester United’s best defender

Sancho described Lisandro Martinez to the Manchester United media as a “crazy guy”, but also said that he is exactly what the team needed. Ever since the 24-year-old centre-back has been paired with Raphaël Varane in the middle of the defense, the team has only conceded one goal against Liverpool and kept two clean sheets in a row.

Something new that the fans are enjoying is how every defender on the team celebrates after making a tackle, clearance of any defensive action. They all celebrate as if they just scored the winning goal of the game, but this kind of fighting spirit is spreading to the rest of the players on the field since everyone is helping defensively at the moment.

Casemiro and his experience

Jadon Sancho also believes that Casemiro has made everyone work harder on the training ground. They all know his experience and the winning mentality that made him win everything possible with Real Madrid. His arrival has elevated the standards in training and he will soon be on the starting XI every week.
