Manchester United legend, Wayne Rooney, talked to Times Sport about his feelings towards the new chapter that the club has begun after the appointment of Erik ten Hag as the new manager of the team. He seems to be happy with the Dutchman’s work so far, as he thinks a change this big was needed.

The former Manchester United captain admits he visited the training ground months ago: “I was at Carrington at the start of their pre-season, speaking to a few of the players and Steve McClaren (manager’s assist). I know one thing ten Hag has tried to change is the day-to-day environment, and that has been a real positive for everyone”.

Wayne Rooney, always helping Manchester United

The now DC United manager loves Manchester United and has always positive things to say about his long time at the club as he wants the team to return to the top. It has been rumored in recent days that he wants to take Phil Jones with him to the MLS. This would be beneficial to the ‘Red Devils’ as they want to sell players.
