Erik Ten Hag and the whole team are preparing for the third preparation match on Saturday against Manchester United and Arsenal in New York, as part of the Red Devils' tour of the United States, which concludes on 30 July.

While the entire squad is concentrating for these four matches in less than 10 days, the manager and the club continue to make decisions to improve the team for the start of the Premier League, for that reason, during the last few days there have been many rumors about the signing and sale of players, however, United would have been making a decision for a few days, although the verdict was already speculated, until today the red devils made the official decision.

As we already know, Erik Ten Hag had been looking for a new captain during the summer, because he had informed Harry Maguire that he would not continue wearing the captain's armband for the 23/24 season; for this reason, during the afternoon the coach announced that the Portuguese Bruno Fernandes would be our new captain.

Undoubtedly this decision is one of the best that the club could have taken, because since his arrival, Bruno has shown to be a great leader, who is always willing to sacrifice himself for the team and that also all the fans love him, so we believe that the midfielder deserves to wear that armband and gives us even more hope and illusions about what may come in the future.

Bruno Fernandes' impact at United

Since his arrival from Sporting Lisbon, the midfielder has fitted in perfectly with the mentality and the project that Manchester United has, in his 185 games he has been an undisputed starter, in addition to being a fundamental piece for Ten Hag's scheme, his vision and intelligence make him stand out from the rest; that is why he has been involved in 118 goals, so making him captain has been the best thing the club has done.
