Erik Ten Hag would have everything ready for the pre-season match against Real Madrid, the club travelled to Houston to face this fourth game and to be able to reverse the bad taste in the mouth left by the defeat against Wrexham, although the starters did not play, the team gave a lousy performance.
United, would look to return to the squad that played against Arsenal on Saturday, in the best game the team has ever seen, so they would plan to put more experienced players because they know that despite being a preparation game it is always relevant to face the Spanish team that called all their stars.
In addition to that Erik Ten Hag, would not want to accumulate two defeats in a row that would give rise to media speculation about his future project, for that reason the team was prepared in the best way and it is expected that the coach will use the best players available, that while this also helps them to start to get rhythm in the face of the start of the Premier League which is on August 12.
There is no doubt that the match against Real Madrid will be the most important game Manchester United will have on this tour, for that reason everyone will be very attentive hoping that we can get the win and conclude the rest of the preseason in the best way.
The Dutch coach could use a similar line-up to the one that faced Arsenal, however, it seems that he would not use youngsters, at least not to start the game; United would start with a 4-3-3 formation with André Onana in goal making his debut; Wan-Bissaka, Varane, Lisandro and Shaw in defence; Casemiro, Fernandes and Mount as the midfield trident; and finally, Antony, Sancho and Rashford in attack. This would be the starting line-up for Ten Hag's team plus the alternatives that may arise in the match.
