Manchester United star Lisandro Martinez who was part of the 2022 FIFA World Cup winning team in Qatar, where Argentina beat France on penalties to win the title after a breathtaking 120 minutes of football with a 3-3 scoreline that included a Lionel Messi brace and Kylian Mbappe's hattrick.
Lisandro returned to club action in January with Manchester United, running through 25 games before this latest international break, and got his invitation to the Argentina national team once again, for his brilliant form at club leaves alongside teenage sensation Alejandro Garnacho.
Sadly, Garnacho was nowhere near the massive reception the Argentina national team got for the first game at home since the World Cup as they beat Panama 2-0 in their friendly game following his current injury situation which occurred just days after his first-ever national team call-up.
Though Alejandro Garnacho has been disappointed about his injury blow, the Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni has set his support to the youngster saying 'he's a boy we have a lot of hope in, we will wait for until he can wear the Argentina shirt.'
Although he has had surgery, the youngster is still expected to be out for a few weeks as he recuperates from the injury. Garnacho is highly rated by Erik Ten Hag and has been a huge fan favorite this season for his performance which reminds fans of Cristiano Ronaldo, who happens to be Garnacho's idol. Lionel Scaloni's comments reassure Garnacho as he focuses on his recovery and what the future holds.
