The player commented to Sky Sports, that he felt good when he spoke to Erik ten Hag on the phone, as, realising what the manager was looking for and that he had a fixed idea of what he was looking for, he largely decided to give him the benefit of the doubt, and became the first signing of the Erik ten Hag era as Man Utd manager.
