Erik Ten Hag would have everything ready for the pre-season match against Borussia Dortmund, the club travelled to Las Vegas to face this sixth game and to be able to reverse the bad taste in the mouth left by the defeat against Real Madrid, where the team was unable to recover from an early goal by Jude Bellingham.
United will be looking to keep the first team that played against the Spanish club on Wednesday, so the coach plans to field more experienced players as they know that despite being a warm-up game it is always good to be able to get confidence-boosting victories and build up for the final games of pre-season.
In addition to that Erik Ten Hag, would not want to accumulate three defeats in a row that would give rise to media speculation about his future project, for that reason the team was prepared in the best way and it is expected that the coach will use the best players available, that while this also helps them to start to get rhythm in the face of the start of the Premier League which is on August 12.
There is no doubt that the match against Real Madrid was Manchester United's toughest test of the tour, not only because of the defeat but also because of the loss of Kobbie Mainoo who was injured early in the game, so Ten Hag would have to be cautious not to lose another player, even so, it is expected to see at least the first half starting line-up.
The Dutch coach could use a similar line-up to the one that faced Real Madrid, however, it seems that he would not use youngsters, at least not to start the game; United would start with a 4-3-3 formation with André Onana in goal, Dalot, Varane, Lisandro and Shaw in defence; Casemiro, Fernandes and Mount as the midfield trident; and finally, Antony, Sancho and Rashford in attack. This would be the starting line-up for Ten Hag's team plus the alternatives that may arise in the match.
