With Cristiano Ronaldo’s obvious desire to leave Manchester United, all eyes are now focused on his possible 150 million euros replacement in Bayern Munich wonderkid, Jamal Musiala. The youngster is the latest in the list of highly-rated players to replace the Portuguese national team captain, with his skills in ball transition and knowledge of play at the top level.

Jamal has been an integral part of the new Bayern rebuild under Julian Nagelsman this season, with 6 goals and five assists in ten Bundesliga matches so far. He has been a revelation for the Bavarian giants following his breakthrough to the first team last season. He has two assists from three champions league matches under his belt so far this season.

His staggering growth into Bayern’s starting lineup has earned him international appearances with Germany, after switching allegiance from England despite playing for the English under-21 teams at the youth level. Many top clubs hovering around the possibility of poaching him away from the Allianz Arena in Munich.

Although, United have the financial muscle as a big team to sign their desired players, but there are not many of such players who may be keen on the move especially when they play for a big team as well. Jamal is a highly gifted player who can feature in any area of the front attack as well as in the middle of the pack, which is a key trait of the sort of players United is keen to sign.

United are certainly keen on getting the German international to join their growing setup of a young, exciting, and energetic pool of players; it will surely be a long and tough negotiation if there’s ever a consideration by Bayern to cash in on him.

Will Jamal truly fill in Ronaldo’s shoes?

Well, it is highly unlike that he would but there’s the sure promise that signing Jamal will be a significant boost to the United team and he also has all the qualities to become a world-class player. An investment in him now might just be the smartest move.
