Frenkie de Jong is still wanted by Manchester United even though he plays for Barcelona. Erik ten Hag, who coached De Jong at Ajax, still wants to reunite with the Barcelona midfielder. Noone can't deny that Frenkie de Jong is one of the most talented midfielders in the world and it is no surprise that he is still wanted by Manchester United.
Despite his stay in Barcelona, he had a lot of trouble before this season. He had his wage reduced due to the Catalan's financial problems, and also the board prohibited Xavi from putting him in the lineup until a deal was reached. Having this in mind, the Erik ten Hag would be keen to have him on board.

However, it seems unlikely that De Jong will leave Barcelona anytime soon as he is a key part of their team. Nonetheless, it is still interesting to see that Manchester United are still interested in signing him and it will be interesting to see if they make a move for him next summer.

The Glazers offered last summer 63 M pounds for him so if the Red Devils were to sign him they'll have to improve their bid next year.
