Manchester United are still unable to find a replacement for David de Gea, with pre-season about to start the club urgently needs a goalkeeper with the characteristics desired by Ten Hag and who is not too expensive.
However, the 43 million euros that the club would be willing to offer could not cover the 51 million euros that Inter Milan are asking for Onana, as we know United cannot pay a very large amount for new signings, without first selling some players they have in the squad, so the price asked by Inter would be far from what the red devils can pay.
For this reason, the club needs to move the negotiations in their favour and reach an intermediate agreement that allows both parties to benefit, because it is true that United urgently needs to get a goalkeeper and André Onana would be one of the best options available, plus the fans want the Cameroonian goalkeeper.
In the event that the team cannot reach an agreement with Milan, there would be other options that Ten Hag would have to review carefully, as he already has on his list Feyenoord goalkeeper Justin Bijlow and German Kevin Trapp, who could be the secondary plan to strengthen the goal or stay with Dean Henderson as the starting goalkeeper and better use that money to strengthen other positions.
