Talks with Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund remain inconclusive, with Manchester United still keen on signing André Onana first so that they can devote more time to the striker and he can become Ten Hag's third signing this summer.

There is no doubt that as United fans we want the team to sign the best players available and along with the scheme that Ten Hang has already put in place, they are a further addition to the team's improvement, which is why the manager is still looking to bring in a No. 9 to partner Marcus Rashford in attack.

Other teams continue to incorporate players to their squads, while some players are finishing their contracts, such as Marcus Thuram, French player who plays for Borrussia Mönchengladbach and who has decided not to continue with the German team, with whom he finishes his contract in the next few weeks and could sign for free for any team.

However, Ten Hag does not seem to be very interested in the player, as there has been more talk over the last week about the Atalanta striker's move, with the club already in talks to sign him and an offer approaching his price tag of 50 million euros could make him Manchester United's new striker.

Why should United sign Marcus Thuram?

Thuram is a strong, quick and mobile centre-forward, qualities in which Erik Ten Hag is very interested and although the French player has not established himself as the world class number 9 that United want on a free transfer, his potential and qualities could prove to be a wise signing for the Reds board, but his signing now seems a long way off with the possible arrival of Hojlund to the team.
