Erik Ten Hag is still contemplating the possibility of selling a number of players in this transfer window. The main reasons for this decision are, first, to create space in the budget, which would allow more players to be signed and, second, that they would no longer fit into the plans the manager has in mind for the club.
For this reason, at the beginning of the summer, Ten Hag would have given the list of transferable players, and during the last few weeks he has been releasing them one by one, with the intention of finding the best deal that suits both parties.
One of those players who has already been informed is Scott McTominay, the Scottish midfielder, who has been at the club for 6 seasons and has a contract until 2025, however, due to his performance, in addition to not entering into the coach's plans, has his time at the club counted, according to some reports his departure could happen in the coming days.
As Roma and Brighton are some of the options for the Scott, United have informed interested teams of the 25 million pounds they are willing to accept for Scott; Ten Hag is already looking for alternatives in the defensive midfield to replace the player.
During the 6 seasons with the Red Devils, the midfielder has not been able to consolidate himself as a replacement option for the coach, his 12 goals, 3 assists and 9,000 minutes, have not been enough for Ten Hag to decide to retain him until the end of his contract, so the club prefers to sell him first and get an economic benefit.
