Manchester United have been trying to find a striker all summer, after securing two signings, the striker position remains a question mark for the team and the closer we get to the start of the Premier League, the more urgency there is to find one.
Erik Ten Hag has done an excellent job since he arrived at Old Trafford, what he has achieved with the club in just one year is impressive; not just in terms of trophies, but in the change of mentality and the complete overhaul he has been making, which is why the two signings that have arrived during this transfer window have been special requests from the manager, with the intention of improving the squad.
Similarly, now that he has his midfield player and goalkeeper, he hopes to sign a striker soon; this has been talked about since the summer began, the manager knew that if he wanted to be even more competitive he would have to bring in help for Rashford, however, two months have passed and the fans still don't know who the new striker will be.
Although several names have come out during this search process, only one has been the one that has remained and could be close, Rasmus Hojlund, is the one with whom we have been closer, as not only the club has shown interest, but also the player has openly said he wants to join Ten Hag's project, however, there would be a factor that could ruin the hopes of being able to have a striker soon.
The Danish striker has been highly valued during this market, not only United have him in their sights, but there have already been other European clubs that have approached to know his value; for that reason Atalanta would have put 85 million euros as the price if any team wanted to sign him, certainly something high for the red devils who would be willing to offer 60 million euros and thus be able to start negotiations.
