Erik Ten Hag is still looking for his third signing of the summer before the end of pre-season, the club are clear on what their next targets are and although they are already working on their signings, Amrabat's case could be affected by a surprise move to Fiorentina.
Manchester United are currently in pre-season, with goalkeeper André Onana joining the club a week ago during their tour of the United States, but the board know that several positions on the pitch have not yet been filled so they had to act quickly to begin negotiations for the third signing of the season.
Sofyan Amrabat is one of the two targets that would have in mind to further strengthen the squad, the Moroccan who shone during the World Cup, was one of the players who has remained in the sights of Ten Hag, even so, until just a few weeks was when the team would begin to show a real intention to sign him, because in addition to the interest, the price of 25 million euros that would have the player was one of the reasons to sign him as soon as possible.
United have now been very close to the midfielder, it was said that there was already an offer on the table, but that was denied by Fiorentina, who at the beginning were open and with the intention of reaching an agreement, however, now the situation has changed unexpectedly and their negotiation could be stalled.
Fiorentina are doing their pre-season, while the Moroccan midfielder is training separately, as there was speculation about his signing, however, now the Italian club have told Manchester United that they would not expect less than 50 million euros for his signature, no doubt this took Ten Hag by surprise, who did not expect to pay so much for the player.
