Since the transfer window opened, Manchester United have been on the lookout for a striker to partner Marcus Rashford in attack, but all three of their options have been fraught with obstacles.

The first on the list to sign this year was Harry Kane, the English striker was the main option for Ten Hag, because his contract is about to expire, United had hoped to be able to sign him for a fair amount as Spurs would be with the urgency to sell him, before he left for free, however, negotiations did not go as expected, as Tottenham asked the club to cease any interest in the player as they did not plan to sell him; due to this the coach had to look for a new option.

Victor Osimhen is one of the most sought after strikers in the market, as he was one of the key pieces in Napoli winning their first Serie A title in over thirty years. The Nigerian striker was the second choice of the Red Devils, but despite making every effort, the value that the Italian team had imposed was too high for United due to their budget situation.

Consequently, Ten Hag would have to start again with the search and in the last week the name of Rasmus Hojlund has sounded a lot, the striker of only 20 years of age has impressed several European teams looking to sign him, Manchester United is one of the few teams that have held talks for the striker and it is expected that an offer will be made in the coming days.

Hojlund's value

Manchester United are ready to offer 60 million pounds for the Danish striker, although Atalanta have reportedly raised Hojlund's value to 85 million euros, even so, the Red Devils hope that with this proposal they can reach an agreement, anyway, they would have to wait to present it until the signing of André Onana becomes official.
