Manchester United has in recent managerial administrations invested heavily in the signing of new players to suit the football philosophies of each manager at the club in order to help smoothen their transition around the club.
The club made the same similar decision the last summer after they brought in Erik Ten Hag as their new club manager after a long search. The club reportedly spent over 200 million euros to bring new signings to the club to begin the new era.

Manchester United brought in Casemiro from Real Madrid, which was the most unexpected signing for the Red Devils, and at a bargain transfer fee. The club also brought in Antony Santos, Lisandro Martinez, Christian Eriksen, and a few others.
The summer additions have become an essential part of Ten Hag's team and have hugely improved the quality within the team. The success with the current crop of investment is rumored to b a yardstick for more possible investments in the coming transfer markets.
According to reports, Manchester United is the highest-spending club in the last decade across Europe ahead of local rivals Man City, Chelsea, and a few other clubs. United is currently the only club in the world with a net spend of over 1 billion euros in the last 10 years, which were surprisingly all paid for by the club and none by the Glazers. The Red Devils fans reported being stunned by the club's spending especially as a lot of the investments failed to deliver as expectedly.
