The goalkeeping situation has been one of the most complicated this summer for Manchester United, as since the transfer window began, the manager has been making moves to get the goalkeeper he wanted and has had to let go of at least a couple of goalkeepers and others who are on the verge of leaving the club soon.
The arrival of André Onana was something that all fans knew was going to happen, however, what it has brought has been something of a whirlwind within the team, as, with his immediate appointment as the starter, the other goalkeepers saw their chances of even getting minutes during the pre-season reduced, so it has created uncertainty regarding their future.
The first goalkeeper to see the ravages of the Cameroonian's arrival was David de Gea, who, unable to agree a renewal deal due to his high salary and Ten Hag's reported plans to replace him, was the first to leave Old Trafford after 12 years with the club.
The second player whose future is likely to be far from United is Dean Henderson, the English goalkeeper is coming back from a thigh injury, so he has not been able to see action during pre-season, however, the coach has already told him that he is not the understudy he is looking for for the team, so his transfer to Nottingham Forest, a team that has shown interest, could happen before the transfer window closes.
The goalkeeper of only 23 years, Matej Kovar, had a chance in the first games of the preseason, where he could shine against Lyon, showing good signs in the system of play that requires Ten Hag, however, could not be called for the tour of the United States, because the coach had already planned to sell him, so now that Hull City and Red Star Belgrade are interested in the player, his departure could be more than imminent.
