The red devils are definitely surprised that after 15 games on the season, their midfielder that they even wanted to get rid of is now the top scorer of the team in the Premier League.
Manchester United fans are aware that the team definitely needs to go ahead and score more goals from the attack players, but in the mean time and with the help from players like Scott McTominay that is now the top scorer for the team in the League, the fact is that the red devils players and the manager are really happy with his performances on the team so far now.
"To be honest with you, the manager. The way he approached this game. A lot of light training sessions, to keep us fresh." McTominay answered when he was asked what lead to the change of mentality and fight that the red devils players show from one to the other and that this really help them get the win over the Chelsea team now.
McTominay added, "We just have to take it a game at a time. We've got Bournemouth at the weekend and take it step by step. We can't get carried away because we played alright tonight." and this shows that now there are several players inside the dressing room of the team that are thinking the same that Ten Hag does and that they actually support the manager now.
"He did great. He had an important role to play. He is a very good player. He stopped Chelsea with Antony. In possession he was very dynamic. He scored two and could have had more." Ten Hag said about the midfielder, and this is part of the new approach of the manager to go ahead and praise the players in front of the media.
Several sources have now confirmed that Scott McTominay role with the red devils on and off the pitch has become way more important than they expected and that the manager is really happy to have the midfielder by his side in this current situation for the team.
