The midfielder has been key to United's success this season and has earned a number of accolades since his arrival in the summer and Hargreaves, who played with Ferguson at Old Trafford between 2007 and 2011, has noticed a key aspect of Casemiro's game that makes so important.
The former England international explained in the media that Sir Alex always said that when you get the ball back, he plays forward. Casemiro wins it and goes ahead, he puts it to Bruno Fernandes or he puts it to Christian Eriksen, who plays in Marcus Rashford or any of the attacking players.
Casemiro has been vital to United's style of play and Erik ten Hag both in attack and defence. Incredibly, the Brazilian has lost just four of the 40 games he has played since he arrived, while without Casemiro the Red Devils have lost four of 11.
That's one of the reasons Hargreaves chose him as United's player of the season, claiming they are a different team without the 31-year-old. And he added for him the player of the year was Marcus, but the team is really different when Casemiro is not playing.
He affects David de Gea, the four defenders and the balance of the midfield. He is the staple. Casemiro has been highly praised by many pundits and was even compared to club legend Roy Keane earlier this season by Paul Scholes. He said that he is a true Manchester United midfielder who gets involved in everything.
