Manchester United need to get rid of more players if they are to compete next season.

Since the end of the season, Manchester United have been on the lookout for new players to improve the squad, and with a new campaign about to start, Erik Ten Hag is reportedly willing to let several veteran players go, in order to make room in the squad and also to have a bigger budget.

Still, the task of finding these new players has not been easy, United have not been able to make any signings, some have not been able to come up with the price, due to the fact that so far, they only have 100 million in the budget, and others have preferred a different destination, which has the fans desperate to have a new player at Man Utd

For this reason, Ten Hag, would be looking for new ways to keep the fans happy, one of them is to increase the budget and for that there are players that the coach would have already decided that they have to leave before the start of the season, these players would be in their last years of contract and before they leave for free or lose more value, Ten Hag would look to sell them.

First on the transfer list is the once surprisingly club captain and one of the least loved by the fans, Harry Maguire, for obvious reasons the defender has to leave the club, those joining Maguire are: Fred, Martial and De Gea, the latter of whom has had a lengthy summer transfer window; given this, it could be that, with the departure of these players, a clearer picture of where United want to go could be seen.

Potential signings to replace them

Erik Ten Hag has clearly defined the areas of the pitch he needs to strengthen, so there are players on his wish list that he would like to add to the club in the hope of improving the squad; in goal Andre Onana would be the one, in midfield there have been rumours of more variants including Mason Mount, Caicedo and Frankie de Jong, and in attack Atalanta's Ramsus Hojlund.
