The transfer window began a month ago, and although United already have two signings, rumours continue to emerge of players who could further strengthen Manchester United, the two most talked about players in recent days have been Rasmus Hojlund, for whom the Red Devils hope to make an initial bid this week, and Moroccan midfielder Sofyan Amrabat, who would emerge as another option in midfield.

As of today, neither of the two signings look likely to materialise any time soon, hence the urgency for Erik Ten Hag to look elsewhere for the key pieces needed in the squad; as the coach has already commented, there are still positions on the pitch that need strengthening, one would have to hope that any reinforcements that do arrive will live up to expectations.

With this urgency, Ten Hag has already found his third option to further strengthen the midfield; Taylor Booth is the choice of the coach, who had already watched him last season and claims he has the qualities to succeed at United.

For his part, the 22-year-old American international has also shown his interest and desire to wear the Red Devils shirt, which he says has been his dream since he was a child and although that dream seemed a long way off, Ten Hag could make it come true this season.

Taylor's numbers and accolades at a young age

Taylor Booth is one of the most exciting young talents in the US national team, which is why many teams in Europe are already looking at him and asking for his price, even so, Manchester United is still the number one destination for Taylor, who with F.C Utrecht last season was able to contribute 6 goals, playing 31 games and being named player of the month in November.
