Manchester United have made it a priority to sell some of their players before the transfer window closes in order to increase the budget and make room for the addition of new signings, however, defender Harry Maguire has become the main target for sale according to the manager.
As we already know, the defender is not one of the most loved by the fans, as his performance and relationship with the team in recent years has not been at all the best, in fact, during this season Erik Ten Hag relegated Maguire to the bench and removed the captain's armband, this as an indication of his dissatisfaction with the player.
Now that the transfer market has been open for a month, the club has made it a priority to get rid of players who do not fit in the future project that Ten Hag has been managing, one of them is Harry Maguire, who has been on the radar of several teams in recent weeks, with the intention of being able to close a transfer that benefits all parties involved.
One of the first teams to show interest was West Ham, who are also in talks with McTominay, however, their first offer was for a loan move, which United were not interested in and decided to reject; now that the defender is on tour in the United States, other teams have begun to emerge as possible destinations for the player.
The current Serie A champions have shown interest in signing Maguire, although an official offer has not yet been made, the Italian side are reportedly offering £35m of the £50m Manchester United are demanding, although this amount is expected to be presented in the coming weeks and negotiations for the player can begin.
