Manchester United has been able to have several players during its history who have become legends of the team either for their great performance, for memorable moments or for the number of titles they won, however, in recent years it seems that the club has no longer been able to have that kind of players who make a difference in the locker room and therefore has suffered too much with the winning of trophies and important results.
Even so, the arrival of Erik Ten Hag as coach of the Red Devils has created a certain air of hope and new illusions for the club to return to the top of Europe and to compete in the best way in all the important competitions; as we know the team is going through a complete renovation where players who do not fit in the future plans are sold, while others have become fundamental pieces for the achievement of the objectives.
One of those players is Marcus Rashford, the striker comes from one of the best seasons statistically in his career, as he was able to score 30 goals in all competitions, in addition to becoming the benchmark of the attack, so the coach was able to get all the potential of the British and that managed to get him the recognition for best player of the season for Manchester United.
In addition to this great award, the striker was able to successfully negotiate with the board for a new contract, as the club understood that the way to achieve success would be to keep one of the most important players in the squad as Rashford is, so they secured his future as a Red Devil for the next 5 years for 18 million a season.
The English striker has shown his love for the club on countless occasions, as he has worked his way through the academy of Manchester United since he was a child to become one of the team's references, for that reason this year he received the award for the Premier League Fans' Player of the Year, proving that he is one of the best players of the moment.
