Manchester United fans are expressing their concerns over the club's striking Unit following the latest links to a striking addition to improving the team's firepower for the remainder of the ongoing season as Ten Hag hopes to mount an unexpected challenge for titles in this campaign.

The club has brought in a host of attacking players over the past few years, who have had momentary stints at the club while moving on to other clubs much later in their careers. Their stints though exciting were shortlived due to the numerous managerial changes at the club.

The club started this season with Cristiano Ronaldo amongst their lead striking options about ultimately parted ways with him during the mid-season before that was enforced by the World Cup campaign after considering all their options against the Portuguese.

Ten Hag is now intent on bringing in Wout Weghorst to provide more firepower to the current squad that is being led by Marcus Rashford and Bruno Fernandes. Weghorst links to United as causing excitement across the fanbase as well as huge concerns.

Why is there concern over the striking unit?

According to reports, there's growing concern amongst Manchester United fans about the club's striking unit over the years. Manchester United has since 2017 only signed players 30 and above as their lead strikers which includes; Ibrahimovic, Ighalo, Cavani, and Ronaldo, and could be adding Wout Weghorst to that list. All of these players have only had short stints at the club despite their pedigree.
