With time running out for Manchester United following the major injury blow to their midfield balance, Erik Ten Hag turn all his attention to the Austrian midfielder, Marcel Sabitzer, who broke onto the scene with RB Leipzig following their rise to the Bundesliga years ago.
The deal to sign the midfielder was quickly sorted out with Bayern Munich agreeing to a straight loan for the 29-year-old, who struggled for playing opportunities since joining Bayern Munich in 2021 after his phenomenal years at RB Leipzig under Julian Nagelsmann.
His loan has been quite enjoyable for Manchester United fans since he joined the club in the winter market and has played some part in their recent run of form. Erik Ten Hag and the backroom staff also share similar assessments with their fans as they contemplate their future plans.
But an unprecedented change at his parent club, Bayern Munich might cancel out any Manchester United hopes of signing him in the summer. Confirmed reports reveal that newly appointed Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel will have the final say about Sabitzer's future at the club after Julian Nagelsmann was sacked recently.
According to reports, Marcel Sabitzer has taken a huge liking to Manchester United and is very happy with the experience so far. Likewise, rumors suggest Erik Ten Hag was anticipating a summer deal for the midfielder. But his current loan deal has no buy option and it will be up to Bayern Munich and Thomas Tuchel to decide.
