Edwin Van der Sar was one of Manchester United's greatest legends, the 52-year-old former goalkeeper suffered a serious health complication on Friday while on holiday in Croatia. 


Having resigned as Ajax's chief executive, the Dutchman decided to take time away from football, saying he needed time to relax and enjoy other things, and on Friday afternoon the unfortunate news came that Van der Sar had been rushed to hospital with a brain haemorrhage. 


At the time he was on holiday with his family on an island in Croatia, and according to reports he was not feeling well, so a helicopter had to be flown to the place where they were staying and transfer him as quickly as possible to hospital. The medical report stated: "On Friday, Edwin van der Sar has had a bleeding around his brain. He's currently in hospital in the intensive care unit and is in a stable condition. Once there is more concrete information, an update will follow". 


The update would have already been made today afternoon and there would be good news for everyone as Van der Sar is stable, although he will remain in intensive care, just as a precaution and to keep a closer eye on his condition, this will certainly make not only Manchester United fans happy, but everyone who had the chance to see him play.
