Mason Mount arrived to the team to reinforce the midfield, but besides that he was the number one option for Ten Hag, as his long search would not bear fruit until the fourth offer presented, so United had planned to sign the British midfielder at any cost.

The red devils this afternoon officially presented Mount, although days before he had already had contact with his teammates and Ten Hag, it was until today where we finally saw him wearing the United shirt, which by the way will wear the mythical number 7 that would have been rumoured to be given to Alejandro Garnacho, but ended up being the British who will keep the privilege.

The British midfielder could start his full incorporation with the club, after passing his medicals without any problems, so it could be speculated that he could have some participation in United's pre-season tour.

There is no doubt that the arrival of Mason Mount has given a lot to talk about and could continue to do so for some days, what is clear is that United should continue to look for new signings, there are areas of the field that need to be reinforced or give them more depth if Ten Hag is to make a good role in the Premier League and the Champions League.

Teams who were interested in Mount and Ten Hag stole him away

Apart from Manchester United, other Premier League clubs were interested in signing Mason Mount, according to some reports, Liverpool and Arsenal would be the teams that would have shown more interest, for his part Klopp would have said that he is a fan of the midfielder for some time and did not deny his interest in the player; while Mikel Arteta was not only a fan of the Briton, but Mount would prefer to sign for Arsenal; however we know how the story ended and coach Erik Ten Hag was the main factor for Mount to choose United.
