After Manchester United’s most recent win against Leicester City, Jadon Sancho talked to the press since he was the main protagonist of last night’s match. The 22-year-old winger scored the only goal of the game which helped the team get their third victory in a row to keep the momentum going before facing Arsenal this Sunday.

The English forward said that even though the first two defeats hurt the team, it eventually helped them as it was a wake-up call for them: “We hoped to start the season with two wins but that woke us up and I am happy to get the third win today”, he told BT Sport.

The former Borussia Dortmund player believes this could be his season of redemption after he was signed late in the transfer window last summer and didn’t do pre-season: “It was a great team goal and I’m happy to get the three points for the team. I have gotten to know the players a lot more after missing pre-season last year and I am really happy to score, he told BT Sport.

Finally, he went and talked to the club’s media where they asked him about his recent form in front of goal, which was something he struggled with last season as he only scored 5 goals in his first campaign as a Red Devil: “I want to score as many goals as possible, but I have to keep on trying on every time I get those opportunities. Hopefully, I can score next time”.

He’s already thinking about the next match

Jadon Sancho also told MUTV that the team is already thinking about Sunday’s fixture against the Premier League leader Arsenal, who are looking unstoppable at the moment. He said that the team is thinking game by game no matter the opposition: “We just have to keep up this momentum and keep on getting the three points every time we do”.
