Manchester United have already decided who will be their new goalkeeper for next season, after many rumours and speculation, André Onana has been unveiled as the first-choice keeper to replace Spanish keeper David de Gea, who left the post earlier this month; now that pre-season has started, the manager is looking to make a new signing.
David de Gea's situation with United brought a lot of complications to the team, as the Spanish goalkeeper's failure to reach an agreement with the club to renew his contract meant that Ten Hag took longer to sign his replacement; now that Onana has been presented as the first-choice goalkeeper, De Gea could look for his new destination in the offers from Saudi Arabian and Turkish teams that the goalkeeper has had in recent days.
On the other hand, André Onana is already with the team on tour around the United States, with the intention of having some participation and getting into a rhythm; however, his transfer was not at all easy as the club had to increase its initial proposal to 60 million pounds to be able to get the services of the Cameroonian, even so, Ten Hag is happy to be reunited with the player he had been asking for so much.
Now that the manager has his preferred goalkeeper for the start of the Premier League, there is talk of adding another back-up goalkeeper who can take part in the lesser competitions and give Onana a rest.
Much has been said about the Japanese goalkeeper who has impressed Manchester United, who have been following him for six years, however, as there is still no proposal or concrete talks about it, the club could take another path and look for a new option; Altay Bayindir is a Turkish goalkeeper who plays for Fenerbahce, his performances with his club and his national team have made the Red Devils interested in him and they could choose him over Suzuki.
