During Erik Ten Hag's time as manager, he has been known for giving opportunities to players who he believes can show their potential, but for some reason have not been able to shine, so the coach gives an ultimatum wanting to make the players can somehow show their skills, so that they can have a significant role within the team and help with their performance to reach the objectives set.
One of these is the well-known case of Jadon Sancho, the English striker arrived at Manchester United as one of the most promising stars in football, his qualities on the pitch and his potential were two of the reasons why the club decided to sign him, as they paid approximately 73 million pounds for his transfer.
However, the player in his first two seasons has not been able to show his true value, he is still adjusting to English football and now with the arrival of Ten Hag he has not had much regularity; during this summer there was speculation that his departure was going to happen soon, but after not being able to reach an agreement with any team due to the high salary that the attacker has, the club finally decided to give him one last chance.
Now that the Red Devils are in pre-season, the manager has tried to move Sancho to a false 9 position, with the intention that he can contribute more in the games and although Ten Hag knows the great quality that the Briton has, he also admits that what he needs to do is to be more consistent; so this season should be crucial for Jadon Sancho to prove that he can be at United.
The English striker has not had much consistency during his time at Old Trafford, having been at the club for two years now, he has not been able to gel with the system, so this year could be Jadon Sancho's last if he fails to make a significant contribution to the team. The Briton's statistics show that he has not reached his potential, as during his 79 appearances he has only been able to score 12 times and provide six assists.
