Erik Ten Hag would like to continue adding new players to the team, his main intention would be to reinforce as much as possible and have depth in the squad due to all the competitions that will be played during this season; for this reason, the coach has his sights set on a player who can help him a lot in his project.
As we know so far there is only one new signing, Mason Mount has been the only reinforcement that has been made official and he will probably be the only one to travel with the rest of the team to face the pre-season that starts next week; the team is already training in Carrington, while the board and Ten Hag are still looking for the key pieces that they are missing.
A lot has been rumoured about the possible arrival of some players, the case of André Onana is one of them, the club has already made a couple of proposals that have been rejected by Inter Milan, so the club will have to renegotiate the goalkeeper's situation before the start of the season; however, there is another position that the coach would be very interested in reinforcing.
The attacking side is one of the main focuses for Ten Hag, the goal scoring issue is something that the coach is desperate to solve, although Marcus Rashford had a magnificent season, this would not be enough for him to keep his starting place, so there would already be rumours of who could be his replacement.
Ten Hag has been following the young Dane for some time, the qualities of the player are very pleasing to the coach, who for that reason would be willing to make an offer of around 50 million pounds for the Atalanta striker; during the last few weeks both teams would have had talks that would have been advancing little by little, this would open the possibility for Hojlund to come to Manchester United and it could also be in the starting position.
