Sir Alex Ferguson's time as Manchester United manager was one of the most prolific for the club, during the 27 years he was at Old Trafford, the team dominated the Premier League and Europe, however, since his departure the club has fallen into a bad run of titles and now Manchester City is the team that has imposed its hegemony.

No doubt we all remember the era when we had Van der Sar, Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Cristiano Ronaldo or Wayne Rooney; the Red Devils were the team to beat at that time, besides that we had one of the best coaches in the history of football, so the club enjoyed great success and the fans enjoyed winning titles every year; apart from that United always had the best players of those times.

One of the great players who arrived at Old Trafford was Carlos Tevez, the Argentine striker arrived for the 07/08 season with the intention of being the complement of Cristiano Ronaldo in attack, although he won several titles in just two years with the club, he says that he never felt comfortable at United or with Sir Alex Ferguson, which according to the Argentine was one of the reasons why he ended up leaving the team.

And as if that was not enough, the following season he would sign with our neighbour Manchester City with whom he would win one more Premier League; without doubt the case of Tevez with United could have been one of those great stories, his ability and his skills have led him to be one of the great stars of football, however, at Old Trafford he could never find his place and ended up leaving through the back door.

What became of Tevez's career after United?

After leaving Manchester United in the 08/09 season, the Argentine striker moved to the other side of the pond with City, where he spent 4 seasons and won a Premier League, then had a short spell at Juventus and to end his career he returned to his country to play for Boca Juniors, where he retired in 2021, so now he is away from the pitch.
