It has been almost three weeks since the Spanish goalkeeper decided to end his career at Manchester United, in an emotional message on social networks, the player said goodbye to all the fans, his teammates and the team that saw him grow up in football. 

Now things are very different while David de Gea is looking for his next team, Manchester United is about to close the signing of their new goalkeeper; remember that since the Spanish goalkeeper was still with the team, Erik Ten Hag was already looking for his replacement, in fact, that was one of the reasons why they could not reach a renewal agreement. 

Another reason for De Gea's departure was because the club was no longer willing to pay him the salary that the Spaniard used to earn, so he would have told him that in order to stay with the team he would have to reduce his salary; much has been said about this situation, as some fans believe that United should not have let a legend go in such a way, while others think that it was time for a renewal in goal. 

Whatever the issue, what can be clear to us as fans is that, Ten Hag has a deep-rooted philosophy of play, which David de Gea was no longer part of and although it was not right to sack him so bluntly, it is true that the club is looking to start a new era, so the Spanish goalkeeper will have to look for a new destination. 

Saudi Arabia could welcome David de Gea

According to reports from Football Insider, the Spanish goalkeeper is in talks with a Saudi Arabian club; although De Gea would like to continue his career with a European club, the Middle Eastern country could represent a better option if he is looking for a better salary, as it is reported that the club would be willing to pay him more than the £375,000 he received at Manchester United.
