Many players arrive at Manchester United with the idea that they will be the best and most remembered players at the club, however, not many make it, sometimes their arrival at United causes their career to take a nosedive and they disappear from the map.
Eleven years ago, Sir Alex Ferguson reportedly signed a young and talented player for £6 million from Crewe Alexandra, his name was Nick Powell, the big name who never established himself at Manchester United; Ferguson reportedly signed him for his great skill on the ball, many compared Powell to the legendary Paul Scholes.
However, his time with the Red Devils was a pitiful case as despite Ferguson signing him, he was only able to play 6 games in the manager's final season and that was when the problems began for the British player; his post-Ferguson career went downhill, he was unable to establish himself with the following managers and his departure was more than evident.
In the 13/14 season he was loaned to Wigan, then to Leicester and finally to Hull City, in none of the three teams could he get many minutes of play, so little by little his career was passing and many of those who thought he was going to shine, ended up being wrong.
After his time at United, Powell was toured by several teams until arriving at Stoke City, with whom he spent last season, however, the English team of the second division of England, left the midfielder free this summer, so he is still looking for a team; upon learning of this, the Wrexham team of Hollywood star Ryan Reynolds, would seek to contact Powell to join the team and be his reinforcement of luxury, the talks are still on hold, while the British player makes a decision.
