Old Trafford has witnessed the passage of great players throughout its history, and although many have been players with great talent, scorers and prolific, not all have what it takes to wear the captain's armband of the biggest team in the Premier League, our Manchester United.
One of the last great leaders that Manchester United has had is the Ecuadorian Antonio Valencia, who arrived at Old Trafford in 2009 from Wigan Athletic, and over time won the hearts of the fans thanks to his enormous dedication every time he put on the Red Devils shirt.
Valencia always enjoyed great speed and physical strength, which always allowed him to fulfill his defensive duties and provide a good presence in the team's attack. As a Manchester United player, Antonio Valencia was crowned Premier League champion twice and also lifted the Europa League trophy.
After his departure from Old Trafford, Valencia returned to Ecuador and later went to Mexico to finish his career. There is no doubt that Valencia will always be a figure of Old Trafford, as he was the player who showed his love for Manchester United every time he was ready to defend our shield.
At 37 years of age, Antonio Valencia enjoys retirement away from any football-related activity, but true to his style he retains a great physical shape. In his latest Instagram post, Valencia uploaded a video of him working out, showing that retirement has been great for him.
