Many players have passed through Old Trafford, many of them have not been able to be what the fans and the team expected of them, for that reason their time with Manchester United has been forgotten and they are only remembered as the biggest failures in the history of the club.
It is true that when elite players arrive at United, you would expect them to perform excellently; the demands of the club are very high and all the fans expect them to win all the titles in contention, so the arrival of these great players should push the rest of the team to achieve the planned goals.
One of the great players who were with the Red Devils was Angel Di Maria, we all remember him as a spectacular signing by Louis Van Gaal, the Argentinean player looked to be the new Cristiano Ronaldo, as he would have inherited the No. 7 shirt, which would add even more pressure on the player, but still the club had high expectations for the season.
However, Di Maria's adaptation process would not have been appropriate, the player, unable to find consistency and after paying around 75 million, was released by Manchester United after just one season, this undoubtedly led to the Argentine striker being labelled not only a disappointment, but one of the worst signings in Manchester United's history.
The Argentine player's time at United was not the best, however, after leaving the team after one season, Di Maria's career took a phenomenal upturn, PSG signed him in the 15/16 season and from there he had magnificent seasons, winning almost everything with the Parisian club, as well as being able to be crowned World Cup winner in 2022, undoubtedly leaves many doubts as to why it could not work with the Red Devils and what would have happened haunts us all.
