Cristiano Ronaldo has become a much different player in recent weeks under Erik Ten Hag, in which he has benefited from a consistent start in games, scoring one and providing an assist as well in an all-round performance. The return to the team in a brighter mood while playing freely is what this player is trying to emulate now.
Bruno Fernandes missed United's recent game in the Premier League where they lost 3-1 to Unai Emery's Aston Villa on Sunday. The loss ended United's run of good form that saw them climb to fifth place in the EPL table just a few points away from fourth place.
The end of the run deals his chances a massive blow
It was the worst moment of his career, he found his level and will play the World Cup
Fernandes has had a dip in form this season with a series of poor performances with just two goals and 1 assist in 12 Premier League matches. His recent run of form has left United without much creative spark in games as they often fail to create chances for their finishers to slot home.
After serving his recent suspension for picking up five yellow cards in the league, Bruno is all set to fight for the team again after gaining much-needed insight and time away from the team to regroup. His relevance to the United team can easily be pointed out as they failed to create any meaningful chance in their last game.
It is safe to assume that Ten Hag will send him straight into the starting lineup of the second game against Villa in four days but in a different competition. His creativity will be essential to the quality of play from United if they want to win the next game. With Ronaldo upfront and him behind, there is hardly any worry about a dull attack from the Red Devils.
