Manchester United have a number of complicated situations to resolve before the end of the summer, one of those issues is the future of Mason Greenwood, and the club will need to make a quick decision that suits both parties.

The 21-year-old has been involved in some off-field problems that have kept him out of football for almost two years, Greenwood has just been cleared of any charges against him and immediately after he was able to return to training, he has been seen training on private pitches in an attempt to improve his performance so that Ten Hag can count on him for the start of the season.

However, the coach has a completely different plan, the idea of Ten Hag is to send Greenwood on loan, this with the intention that he can have a gradual return to the courts without the demands that come with being at United; this is certainly one of the best options for the player, as the loan would only be for one year.

This could also serve the coach to see if the English striker is capable of returning to his best and if he is, he could return to Old Trafford to continue his career; there is no doubt that Mason Greenwood had great potential to have been a great player, however, the problems off the pitch have led the club to have to make a difficult decision to keep him or send him on loan and see how he evolves.

Teams interested in Greenwood

The Englishman already has a couple of suitors who would like to have a young player with talent without leaving them very expensive, for that reason the Atalanta that with the possible departure of Hojlund could need reinforcement in attack and the Roma managed by Jose Mourinho who knows the player very well, could be some options of destination for Mason Greenwood in case he does not stay at Manchester United.
