The arrival of Erik Ten Hag almost a year ago has come to revolutionise the idea of Manchester United, many players, legends and former coaches have praised him for being a coach who makes difficult decisions that no one else does, thanks to that he has earned the respect and support of the club, who trusts in the project he has to improve all aspects of the team.
During the season he has had to make very complicated decisions and changes that not all fans could understand, such as letting Cristiano Ronaldo go after a great season, benching Harry Maguire or most recently not renewing David de Gea in order to get a new goalkeeper.
All these decisions are something we haven't seen before, so it gives us confidence that the manager is always looking for ways to improve the team, that's why, although last season we could only win the Carabao Cup and finish third overall, now we would expect to fight for the Premier League title, as well as doing a great performance in the Champions League.
The team is looking better and better, the reinforcements will keep coming, so there would be no excuse for us to return to our glory days this season so that the fans can enjoy the joy that has been so lacking in recent years.
The Dutch defender shared a time with Erik Ten Hag, when both were at Ajax, although now they have gone their separate ways as Timber signed for Arsenal this summer, the good relationship between the two has not been lost, as during an interview he reportedly commented on all the support he received from Ten Hag and that if it had not been for the coach, he would never have reached his potential.
