It is no secret that Manchester United wants to be one of the most active teams in the current transfer market, which just opened a few hours ago for clubs in England. The Red Devils' coach, Erik ten Hag, wants to reinforce each and every area of the field, but everything indicates that he will have to compete with other clubs, such as FC Bayern, to achieve his goals.
While Manchester United's priority is to sign a striker, the Dutch tactician intends to shore up all areas of the field, which is why both he and his coaching staff would have set their eyes on one of the most promising jewels of South American football, who has also demonstrated his great quality and enormous talent last season in the Premier League.
We are talking about Moisés Caicedo, the 21-year-old Ecuadorian midfielder, who shone with Brighton & Hove Albion and was one of the key players for his team to qualify for European competitions. Those performances throughout the campaign have aroused the interest of multiple teams in Europe and initially it was said that Arsenal was the most interested team, however Manchester United has entered the race and could be the one who finally signs the Ecuadorian jewel.
Although Caicedo's estimated value is 55 million euros, according to the portal Transfermarkt, Brighton have already informed interested clubs that they will not let Caicedo leave for less than 105 million euros, an amount that could be a major impediment for the Red Devils due to the issue of the sale of the club and budgetary uncertainty.
Although everything seems to indicate that Manchester United and Arsenal are in the lead to sign Moises Caicedo, in the last few hours it has been reported that German giants FC Bayern have shown interest in the 21-year-old midfielder. However, Caicedo is reportedly not a priority for the German club, but it should come as no surprise if they launch an offer for him.
