Erik Ten Hag is still trying in every possible way to get Harry Maguire out of the club before the end of the summer, the coach aims to sell the defender with the possibility that he can continue to add at least two reinforcements as the transfer window closes, however, the situation has become more complicated as the days have passed.

Harry Maguire is coming off one of the most difficult seasons of his career, the player did not have a good time with the club, nor with the coach, who in mid-season relegated him to the bench and took away the captain's armband; in addition to that during the summer, Ten Hag put out a list of players that the team put as transferable and as a priority was the defender.

However, there has not been the desired interest from teams, until just as West Ham began talks with United about a possible transfer, the London club made a first proposal that was immediately rejected, as the Red Devils were not interested in letting the defender go on loan.

Although, according to reports, several Serie A teams have also been interested in Maguire, there has been no official offer yet, so Ten Hag will have to keep hold of the player who also knows that the end of his time at Old Trafford is about to end, so a change of team he thinks would be good for his career.

West Ham want to stop negotiations

After their first loan offer was rejected, the London club have remained in talks with Manchester United to sign Harry Maguire, now that a second £20m bid has been tabled, it has again been rejected by the Red Devils. So David Moyes will no longer be pushing for the transfer as he is not prepared to pay more than his value.
