Erik Ten Hag continues to lose signings in this market, many of the targets that Manchester United had at the beginning of the summer have gone to the club's direct rivals, this situation puts on alert the manager who has to look for new players before the start of the season.
The only signing that Manchester United has been able to make is Mason Mount, who a couple of days ago was made official the transfer of the player from Chelsea, this agreement was not easy for the club, because in the end it ended up paying 60 million for the midfielder, this could give a break to the board.
However, the other options on Ten Hag's wish list remain unfulfilled, there are positions on the pitch that need strengthening and due to the Glazer's poor financial management over the last few years, the club only has a budget of 100 million, which is low compared to the 400 million plus they have spent over the last 3 years to bring in new players.
The club would need to make changes soon if they want to have a good squad that can perform well in all competitions, as they cannot be losing more players due to Galzer's problems which undoubtedly continue to affect United and their title aspirations.
Pep Guardiola, would have specifically asked Manchester City to sign Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo, as it is known also Manchester United would have shown interest in the player long before City, in fact, was one of the options to strengthen the midfield, but due to the signing of Mount, negotiations were stopped and that is where Pep Guardiola can take advantage and take it away from Ten Hag.
