Today, Manchester United suffered an embarrassing defeat away at Brentford in the second match of the Premier League season. Both David De Gea and Erik ten Hag have already taken full responsibility for today’s shocking result that has caused millions of supporters to feel disappointed and angry by their team's performance.

Manchester United legend, Gary Neville said to Sky Sports that he has had enough of this group of players and backs the new manager’s words after the match where he said that they needed new signings: “The players have proven they can’t handle it. They have proven they’ve lacked leadership and have no voice. They need a good transfer market”.

However, the former England right-back also took it off with the Glazer family: “We’ve got a football project where they haven’t got a clue, they’ve put bankers in charge of the club. They’ve not appointed a sporting director. The time has come, they need to explain a plan very clearly, or sell the club. They are literally letting their employees take all the hits for them. That’s unforgivable”.

Then, after all of Neville’s strong words to the Glazers, his colleague at Sky and former Liverpool player, Jamie Redknapp was the only one who defended the owners of Manchester United from all the criticism: “They’ve spent a billion pounds on the team. They keep spending money on the players, you can’t keep blaming them”.

The Sky Sports pundit also said that the main man from the family should get to Old Trafford as soon as possible to sort this situation out and help the team: “Joel Glazer has got to get on a plane tomorrow, get to Manchester and start to divert the issues away from the club and tell everyone what the hell his plan is with the football club. What is he doing?”.
