One of the situations that did not have a pleasant ending for the fans was the resolution of the sale of Manchester United, because for more than 9 months since the Glazer family informed that they would look for a new alternative for the club with the intention of improving the economic issue and other problems that have arisen within the team.
As we remember, during the whole of this novel orchestrated by the North American family, there were two solid candidates who since June had presented their proposals; on the one hand, we had Sheikh Jassim Al Thani who sought to take complete control of the club offering 6 billion pounds, which would pay off some debts and that there would also be an injection of capital for the renovations of the facilities, as well as a larger budget for new signings.
On the other hand, we had the British businessman Sir Jim Ratcliffe who only wanted to have a larger percentage of the club and leave the rest to the Glazers, however, neither of the two offers received a concrete response, as the American family let the date for registering new owners in the Premier League pass, so the decision was taken that they would remain in charge of the Red Devils until 2025, where they would again try to find options to sell the team but now demanding 10 billion pounds.
This decision undoubtedly infuriated both the fans and some players who are now in the journalistic field, as all agree that it should not have ended that way, for that reason one of those who has spoken out against the situation is Gary Neville who during his time with United lived this kind of injustice with the current owners who according to the player have never cared about the welfare of the club.
The former Manchester United defender who now works for Sky Sports has been mentioning the recent resolution of the sale of the club, as during one of his programmes Gary Neville said: "I am not going to stop talking about the Glazers and how they are playing with the fans, the staff and the biggest club in the country and the world. They NEED to leave.
