The red devils former defender believes that the portuguese star could have done some things different in order to make sure that he had a better return to the team.

Despite being one of the top scorers with his second time at Manchester United, the time of Cristiano Ronaldo at the team ended really quickly and in a dissapointing way, but now it seems that Gary Neville believes that the one to blame in the situation is the striker that could have done some things different to make sure that he had a better run with the team.

“I think he did very well in terms of goals. He has a character and a personality in which he does not accept not being the main man… I criticised him because my opinion is that, when you ara leader in the dressing room and in world footbal, there are different ways of coaching the younger players on the team who are not at your level.” Gary Neville started on the player.

“Cristiano Ronaldo got frustrated with them, he got angry with them and that was visible sometimes during the games and, in the end, it became kind of confrontation. I have played with him, he has an incredible work ethic and has worked as hard as any other player I have played with; everything you see in Cristiano is talent and hard work.”

Lastly Neville added, “He wants to win, he is desperate to win, he wants to score goals and he wants to be the best player in the world, so I think it has been difficult for him, maybe bacuse he has reached the end of his career in teams that did not have the level that he had seen before.” and that shows what Neville feels about Ronaldo.

Cristiano Ronaldo future

At this point of his career it has been confirmed that Cristiano Ronaldo is going to retire in the Al Nassr team, and that has been the decision of the striker that also wants to conquer every title with his new team to end his football career.
