It seems that there are some former players for Manchester United believe that right now the main problem is the way that the team culture has changed in the last few years.
Several former red devils believe that the team culture has really changed a lot in the past years, and now it seems that Gary Neville believes that could be one of the main problems that the team has to get the best results that they can, and he believes that Ten Hag or any other manager would need to fix that first if they actually want to get better results with the team.
“My anger is not with Erik ten Hag. I do not think he is the fundamental problem. The toxcicity at this club is eating alive every manager and every player that comes here.” where some of the words of the former red devil, and it seems that now Ten Hag is getting some more time to prove that he could actually help the team get better results.
Gary Neville added, “They have allowed another manager to come in and dictate policy and let the teal wag the dog on recruitment. They have brought eight players (who have played in the Eredivisie at some stage) from basically a league that Erik ten Hag thinks he trust.” showing that the manager could also have a problem with the transfers he has made with the team.
“Erik ten Hag is a fantastic manager, we know that, we can not dispute that. José Mourinho is a fantastic manager, we can not dispute that. What we have to ask ourselves is the reason for that they continue to fail at this club. It is not because of one player or his abilities. It is a cultural failure, and that is it.” he ended.
Gary Neville has been one of the elements that has attacked the current owners of the Manchester United team the most, and he could really point at them for the current situation that the team is currently living with them still there.
