Manchester United are always keen to sign the best players available, the club this summer has been very busy with rumours of players coming in and players being sold, however, there was one rumour that was the biggest buzz of all and one that the fans were hoping would happen.

As we already know, Sheikh Jassim is one of the main candidates to become the new owner of the team, his vision, his project and his offer, made him the favourite over his competitor Sir Jim Ratcliffe; besides being the favourite, after his proposal came to light, it was speculated that with such a strong economic injection that he could make, the Red Devils could buy any player on the market.

That is when the name of Neymar came up, who as we remember is at PSG, whose owners are another Qatar group, so the idea that the Brazilian star could join Manchester United was not at all distant; besides that the striker had already shown his intention to leave the French club, so everything was being arranged so that before the end of the summer and once Sheikh Jassim was appointed owner, talks could begin for Neymar.

However, in a drastic change in the situation, the Premier League has already closed the period in which they would have accepted the inclusion of new owners, after the Glazers have not yet made a decision everything points to them remaining as the owners for the 23/24 season, besides that the Brazilian player reported that he would not leave PSG, until the end of his contract, so now it is merely impossible to see Neymar at Old Trafford

Neymar Value

The 31-year-old forward is tied to Paris Saint-Germain until the 2025 season, the French club paid a record 222 million euros for the Brazilian star; six years later his value has dropped to 60 million euros, so for next season Manchester United could make a bid to bring the player in.
