The 21-year-old Uruguayan is one of Manchester United's most promising stars; his performance and development has surprised the club who still do not know what to do about his future, because due to the signings that Erik Ten Hag has presented, Pellistri's minutes would be affected for the start of the new season.
As we remember, the coach has tried to give opportunities to young players during this preseason, in the first games the club had the majority of young players who did an excellent job and surprised with their performances; however, it is expected that in the last three games of preparation they will occupy more of the starters, with the intention that they can get into a rhythm.
Even so, Ten Hag has already made a decision about two academy players who shone in these matches, Kobbie Mainoo and Amad Diallo, who will join the first team once they are both out of the injuries they have been carrying during the games; this is a clear sign of the opportunities that the coach offers, with the philosophy that anyone has to earn their place.
Meanwhile, the issue of Facundo Pellistri is still up in the air, the club wants to keep him, but at the same time knows that he will not have many minutes of play, so one of the options that have been handled is to send him on loan, so that he does not have a stagnation in his development; however, Ten Hag knows that he is one of the young promises that the club has and that somehow, he can help in the season.
The Uruguayan striker was involved in the midweek defeat against Real Madrid, the player came on in the 62nd minute and gave good impressions when he had the ball at his feet, given that in an interview for an English media, Facundo said about his future: "We are working together to find the best club, the best way, the best option. I hope to play, but I am happy with the path that is chosen because we are all in the same position.
